23 OctBoofa is the newest member to serve on the board of the Clowns of America International (COAI) organization! I will serve into 2016 as the South Central Regional Vice President! I don’t know all the ins and outs yet, but I’ll help support chartered clown alleys in Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico & my home state of Texas. Looking forward to being an integral part of COAI and promoting the benefits of membership! Clowning is serious business, y’all!

26 MayBoofa spent a fantastic week training with The New York Goofs, founded by two ridiculously awesome clowns that worked for the Big Apple Circus as well as for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus as Clown College Director and Clown Choreographer, Dick Monday and Tiffany Riley! Also got pied in the face by my teacher and former RBBB boss clown Jay Stewart! Learned great material and clown performance techniques! What a great week! *<:o)
Shred the paper, not the balloons!
5 AprBoofa went to the First Service Credit Union today for Shred Day! I brought my own shredder and kept warm with my balloon scarf!
Lucky Me, I Made a Ducky!
16 NovI had a request at a birthday party today for a balloon DUCK! I thought, “Are you quackers, kiddo?!” We compromised with a kitty, but when I got home (after pizza & LOTR’s The Two Towers) I taught myself how to make that cute yella fella!

After an afternoon of twisting balloons at the Houston Family Magazine’s Fall Fun Fest, I was in the right place at the right time for a doggy balloon animal to mean so much more than just a doggy balloon animal. I was part of a beautiful “pay it forward” moment, and that’s how I got the precious ceramic heart in this pic from a Houston sculptor. Balloons and clay made my day (and a dog and cute kiddo, too)!
Workshopping & Auditioning with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus!

I spent the day with the RBBB circus clowns! It was a day of exploration, realization and total excitement getting to workshop with the circus clowns and then perform an original clown piece for them on the floor of the circus arena! As for the audition outcome, I made the first cut and interviewed which had me so elated. Though I didn’t make the final invitation to train with the circus, I got so much out of it! I got a glimpse of a dream come true and a full-hearted confirmation that clowning is my path… wherever it may lead me. Follow your heart’s smile, everyone!
